Lisa is 5’1” and lost 12lbs. Went from 33% body fat to 29%. She lost 3 inches from her waist, 3.5 from her hips, and 5.5 from her thighs. Lisa works hard and she met her goal!

 

I’ve trained with bootcamps, participated on sports teams, and was very nervous about having a personal trainer. My image was of some intimidating coach, hovering over me, in my face, pushing and yelling. I shared that on my first day with Craig and he assured me that it wouldn’t be that way! They create a program for me, based on my strengths, weaknesses, needs and adjustments (LOTS of adjustments). They show me what to do and they make sure my form is correct. They don’t hover, but don’t let them fool you, they are counting and making sure you are doing everything you are suppose to be doing!  They make sure my form is correct, they keep track of my weight, reps, and time without being imposing or overbearing…just the way I need it, a more gentle prodding than in-your face intimidation! They adjust to each client. They know this approach is what I’m comfortable with, but they push others in different ways because each client is different and all programs are individualized. I’m older and I’ve had several injuries and surgeries. Juliene modifies routines as appropriate and creates each workout to challenge me, but not damage me. She is sensitive to past injuries, knows when to push and when to change something we thought would work, but doesn’t. Each routine feels special to me.

 

I lost 14 ¾ inches, 19 pounds and 4 BMI points in my first 3 months! Through the help of trainers Juliene and Craig, plus a careful diet, I have maintained the loss, and gone down 3 pants sizes and feel great. When I started, I wanted to tone up and lose about 10-15 pounds, which is what I thought would be reasonable and sustainable. I had no idea what a difference a personal trainer would make in my life.

 

Sports and conditioning have always been a part of my life. More recently I spent 2+ years going to bootcamps, being a weekend warrior, running 5k’s here and there, golfing, and skiing. I hate to run, I hate the treadmill, and I hate anything repetitious. It was really hard to motivate myself to do anything on my own. I was in ok shape and added a few pounds over the last couple of years. I had no idea I could make such a positive change in my body shape and tone with a personal trainer. After training with Juliene and Craig, my 5k time improved by at least 3 minutes. I gained about 20 yards on each of my golf clubs (so now I have to re-calibrate - a good problem to have). And I'm definitely faster on the basepaths. I'm totally addicted to physical activity all week.  If I can’t make it into the gym, I don’t feel right!

 

I am SO grateful for this gift and know I would never have given personal training a thought – it just “wasn’t my thing.” And now that I’ve had this experience I don’t know anything better. I thought I knew how to get and stay in shape – run on my own, go to the gym, participate in some bootcamp or other classes. But this experience has simply been amazing.
